AMRC Cymru is a dynamic partnership between the Welsh Government, the University of Sheffield and numerous growth enterprise agencies. They are seeking a Controls Engineer to join the team at Broughton in Flintshire. The Controls Engineer will deliver projects for industrial automation, robotics and digital transformation.
The role will specifically focus on the development of automation control systems and support projects in a variety of sectors including Aerospace, Automotive and the FMCG sector. The Controls Engineer will support controls programming for robotics, PLC applications and data measurement activities including GUIs and visual displays.
The Controls Engineer will conduct research activity and offer innovative, solutions led approaches to industrial and academic challenges and will operate in a collaborative and team-focused way to facilitate the success of the AMRC and its partners.
The Controls Engineer will possess a degree or equivalent qualification and relevant industry experience within the controls or automation fields. You will be well versed within software control principles, hardware integration, industrial control systems and developing visual displays and GUI applications.
The Controls Engineer will demonstrate an open and collaborative working style and be passionate about excellence in manufacturing research and their own professional development.
