AMRC Cymru is a dynamic partnership between the Welsh Government, the University of Sheffield and numerous growth enterprise agencies. They are seeking a Senior Software Developer to join the team at Broughton in Flintshire. The Senior Software Develop will deliver projects for industrial automation, robotics and digital transformation.
The role will specifically focus on using several programming languages to develop of Internet of Things (IOT) solutions and advanced visualisation solutions for manufacturing research projects. You will use software development and mathematical principles to create bespoke solutions for AMRC‘s partner organisations.
The Senior Software Developer will conduct research activity and offer innovative, solutions led approaches to industrial and academic challenges and will operate in a collaborative and team-focused way to facilitate the success of the AMRC and its partners.
The Senior Software Developer will possess a degree or equivalent qualification and relevant industry experience within the relevant programming fields. You will be well versed within the development of software solutions for manufacturing and evaluate the range of options available to suit the project requirements. Competence in C#, C++, C, Java, and Python are highly advantageous for the role.
The Senior Software Engineer will demonstrate an open and collaborative working style and be enthusiastic about excellence in manufacturing research and their own professional development.
