As a battery assembly technician, you will be responsible for assisting the engineering team to build our battery pack systems to the highest standard. The battery assembly technician may also be required to assist in the production and testing of prototypes.
The Role
You will be responsible for:
Assembling battery modules (wiring of electronic boards and components)
Fabrication of bespoke battery components, for example electrical power cables
Operation of electrical power sources and voltmeters for electrical testing
Operation of 3D scanning and printing machinery
Mechanical machining (drilling, filing, etc.)
Supporting test method development (electrical and mechanical)
Investigation, diagnose and repair faults in battery prototypes
Document your processes and procedures so that others can also perform these tasks
The Person
You must have good hands-on experience in the electrical and mechanical field
Knowledge of the scientific method and good research practices
A degree is not mandatory, but relevant qualifications would be beneficial
Previous experience with electrical systems (batteries, chargers, inverters, etc)
Previous experience in mechanical/electrical workshop
Previous experience in 3D printing
Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Word & Excel
Previous CAD software experience
