As the Instructional Designer you be liaising with key subject matter experts, such as Technology Managers, Senior Research Engineers and Technicians within the MTC Group to ensure the appropriate information is being converted into suitable and engaging learning content.
Duties and responsibilities include:
You will liaise with members and customers to identify their business and people performance requirements through learning needs analysis.
You will design and develop training material using various methodologies that deliver measurable performance improvements within the Engineering sector.
Face-to-face courses to allow for a live interaction between learners and the instructor.
Virtual Classrooms and Webinars.
Self-study programmes for online learning.
’Application of learning‘ assignments.
Create E-learning modules to meet requirements.
Loading and testing of all material onto the Learning Management System.
Facilitating the delivery of pilot training courses with the Trainer/ Subject Matter Expert.
The successful candidate for the role of Instructional Designer will have/be:
Demonstrable Instructional Design experience and capability.
A demonstrable ability to work to tight deadlines in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
Ability to work with stakeholders to develop robust design briefs.
Microsoft Office experience.
An understanding of ROI in learning & development.
An understanding of the capabilities of e-learning as well as its associated development tools and software.
Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and presentation).
Previous experience working in the Engineering sector would be advantageous.
It would be desirable if you have
Training Foundation - TAP accredited.
Thorough understanding of Kirkpatrick‘s evaluation model.
Experience with the Adobe suite of applications.
Experience with MS Publisher,
Any relevant Undergraduate qualification (or equivalent).
Copy editing experience.
An understanding of Learning Management Systems (LMS).
