HyperBat is a joint venture between Williams Advanced Engineering and Unipart Manufacturing Group, formed with a mission to manufacture innovative high voltage battery solutions, optimised for high-performance and specialist applications.

 

Due to continuous growth and recent new programme awards, they are seeking a Quality Engineer to join their team initially on a Fixed Term Contract basis for six months, to be based in Coventry, Warwickshire.

 

 

Commutable from: Coventry, Birmingham, Daventry, Rugby, Nuneaton

The Role

 

The Quality Engineer will support quality engineering deliverables for each programme gateway and support new productions, problem solving and issue rectifications using the appropriate methodologies such as 8D, creating PPAP documentation, audits for IATF/ISO and updating engineering change notes.

 

The Quality Engineer will liaise directly with customers and suppliers including some travel to customer and supplier sites and ensuring customers are kept up to date any issues pertaining to Quality.

 

You will support the Engineering team with facilitating best practice, deploying lean approaches to efficiency and working in a collaborative manner to achieve product success and customer satisfaction. Initially the role is available on Fixed Term Contract basis for Six Months.

 

 

The Person

 

The Quality Engineer will possess a proven track record in quality engineering preferably in the automotive industry, any exposure to battery technology is highly advantageous for the role. Familiarity using processes such as 8D, PPAP, FMEA and auditing (IATF, ISO) is highly desirable for the role in addition to experience working on safety critical products or applications.

 

The Quality Engineer will ideally be able to read and interpret a technical drawing and possess a minimum qualification level of HNC in a STEM focused discipline. You will able to travel to customer sites when required. Please note that is role is based on a Six-Month Fixed Term Contract basis.
