At the forefront of their sector, a global manufacturer of complex components to the Aerospace & Defence sectors has a new opportunity for a CNC Programmer to join the team. With significant experience working in a precision machining environment, you will take a lead position and will be responsible for CNC Programming, developing other engineers, driving continuous improvement and successful New Product Introduction.
Commutable from: Nottingham, Derby, Mansfield, Sheffield, Newark On Trent, Sutton In Ashfield.
Salary: £ 50,000 - £ 65,000 p.a. + benefits
Suitable for: Manufacturing Engineer, Production Engineer, NC Programmer, CNC Programmer, Process Engineer.
Creation of NC programs using Catia V5 on 3, 4 and 5 axis machines.
Work with the Senior team to identify new processes and techniques.
Develop and train junior engineers and the production team.
Create all Tool builds and put into the Catia Tool Library.
Utilise the latest cutting strategies in conjunction with Tooling suppliers.
Ensure that Programming deadlines are strictly adhered to.
Ensure that all CAPEX spend is strictly monitored and in budget.
Work alongside machinists proving out first article production of new parts, or re-programmed parts.
Work with Engineering Manager and NPI Co-Ordinator in defining CNC program guidelines.
Ensure Full NPI protocol and process structured and ran in accordance with QMS.
2 years minimum Catia V5 experience on 3, 4 and 5 axis machines.
Advanced Engineering qualifications would benefit but not essential.
Ideally have 3D modelling experience (Catia V5 primary, Solid works secondary).
A good understanding of aerospace standards and processes.
