Working for a leading supplier of complex assemblies to multiple high volume passenger vehicle OEMs, this is a permanent Account Manager role for a candidate with excellent technical and customer-centric skill base on product deliver in the automotive first tier.

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will undertake customer facing duties on the behalf of the business including direct liaison on quotation, forecasting, pricing and delivery metrics. You will be available to and visible to the customer throughout the programme with extensive site visits and customer interaction being regular function of the role.
The role will entail extensive international travel and the flexibility to undertake this at very short notice. You will provide effective support to the OEM purchasing teams and ensure that projects changes are met and updated in addition to managing internal supply considerations including statements of work, design change requests, tooling and related programme gateways.
The successful applicant will possess a proven automotive background in preferably a first-tier environment with exposure to JLR, BMW, Nissan or Toyota in addition to a recognised engineering qualification at a minimum of HND level.
You will possess a high level of personal flexibility to work from office, home, on the road, resident at OEM and overseas and be able to plan and organise an autonomous schedule with minimal intervention from the management team.
Proven commercial experience including quotation, forecasting and design change experience is essential. The ability to support and where necessary, pragmatically and robustly manage customer expectations is an essential part of the role.
