Senior Development Engineer

Backed with significant investment, a rapidly growing technology company is developing an innovate and patented powertrain unit. At an advanced stage of the design, they have a new vacancy for a Senior Development Engineer to join the team. An experienced development engineer you will work with the internal team and external suppliers to define the product and improve the design and functionality.
 

Commutable from: Norfolk, Yarmouth, Lowestoft, Ipswich, Kings Lynn.

Salary: £ 45,000 to £ 55,000 p.a. + benefits

The Role

Improve the Product Design through experimental techniques
Develop the powertrain unit ensuring it complies current and future legislation
Lead the product development activity in-house and externally at suppliers / Engineering Service Providers
Specify and install appropriate instrumentation based on test requirements
Lead the Root Cause analysis of any Test Incidences
Working closely with the Design Team to deliver targets
Ensure engine successfully pass all Functional, Durability and Reliability tests
Produce Test and Development status reports to the Leadership Team
Keep abreast of technological developments and make improvement recommendations

The Candidate

Minimum of 5 years in Propulsion engineering
Ability to understand technical issues
Mechanical Engineering Degree or HND preferred
Ability to communicate externally & internally at all levels, with focus on technical items
Team player, comfortable with supporting, and accepting support from colleagues
High energy to drive results with enthusiasm and pace
Willingness to travel, when necessary
Excellent organisational & planning skills
