Applications Engineer

Consilium Recruit are exclusively working with a leading manufacturer of advanced complex machinery who have a new vacancy for an Applications Engineer to join the team. The successful applicant will work closely with customers to identify their needs from a technical perspective and candidates are sought with experience using CAD/CAM packages and CNC programming.


Commutable from:  Leicester, Coventry, Rugby, Nuneaton, Loughborough + Lutterworth 

Salary:  £34,000 - £42,000 + company vehicle + bonus + benefits

Suitable for: Applications Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, CNC Programmer, Production Engineer.


The Role

Work closely with customers delivering turnkey solutions from technical presales to customer handover and sign off.
Knowledge transfer from the customer to product development and engineering teams.
Work with engineering team to develop new equipment and customer solutions.
Visit customers and attend trade events.
Deliver training to new and existing customers.
Deliver presentations to prospective customers.
Partner Business Development Managers on customer visits.


The Candidate

Experience in machine tool operation & CNC programming.
Experience using CAD/CAM packages.
Able to read and interpreted complex Engineering drawings.
Good presentation skills able to present technical topics and deliver customer training.
Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.
Relevant degree qualification or HNC/HND qualification with industry experience.
Willingness to travel (domestic and abroad) for customer support & training
